ANYWAY，国外的医生也必须是博士，称为medicine doctor, 简称M.D.

DOCTOR有醫生和博士的意思而doctor很少在劇里充當醫生的角色，所以叫博士！博士也強過醫生，博士也能當醫生，這是三歲小孩都知道的問題，他們都知道為什么叫神秘博士不叫神秘醫生！

看他的本事，也不知做医生这点能耐吧

但是么人会觉得他只是个医生吧囧

叫博士才能现实出他的多才啊~~

照楼上所言  如果叫“神秘博士后”不是更好吗

博士后的英文好像不是doctor

看了这么多季  没发现Doctor 给“人（anykind）”治病阿。真奇怪楼主怎么会觉得医生合适。。

ps：博士后 ms是post-doc

他是根据第三季结尾那两集来推断的吧，博士和MASTER通电话时（貌似是3X12？）有提到对方名字的含义。

“DOCTOR”这个名字按照他们之间的通话内容，应该有“使人们变得更好”(The man who makes people better.)的意思，从这个角度来说，翻译成医生似乎可以

但是, 我突然想起311里面, 曾经说过博士是DOCTOR OF EVERYTHING的~~~
所以啦~~~博士还是比较适合的翻译~~~涵盖面广嘛~~~

Hmm, looks like my comment has set some peeps off.

Anyhoo, I really do think that the title 'doctor' is more of a profession than a qualification to the Doctor. It’d be really pompous of him if it turned out the other way round. My proof is also apparent in the episode "The Sound Of Drums", where the Master remarks to the Doctor that they both chose their names, and that it was sanctimonious of the Doctor to identify himself as "the man who makes people better." Capt. Jack also made a similar analogy in Torchwood, that he was waiting for, not any doctor, but THE Doctor to cure / save him from immortality.

So there, it’s just my input, never meant to upset anyone tho…

如果翻译成“医生”的话 又要有人反驳说  剧中“医生”为什么不穿白大褂
另外DOCTOR 在什么危急时刻 都能以英国式的幽默去面对 这种乐观的人生理念是贯穿全剧的
值得我们学习。
有些人在危难时刻 被吓傻， 有些人 被屈服，有些人 沉着应对  很少人能像DOCTOR一样乐天同样还能化险为夷

毫无疑问，“DOCTOR”的两个解释中，这个DOCTOR 可以说是全宇宙知识最丰富的人，不只限于医学这一科，很多时候都是靠他的科学知识化险为夷，并没看到他什么时候治病救人过。并且“神秘博士”的翻译更有科幻意味，更能吸引观众眼球，叫“神秘医生”那简直是牛头不对马嘴
哎，这就像教小学生1+1=2而不是=美利坚一样
