Doctor Who后的，不过太多，而且主要也就是饰演哪些影片，就不再翻译了，后面的列表里都有。给我的感觉Christopher Eccleston一路走来不容易。

早期生活
Eccleston出生于Salford，Lancashire一个工人家庭里。他称自己是爱好电视的一个穷学生，由于他最喜欢Manchester United而有志向踢足球。但是在他19岁的时候，他发现自己相比较足球运动员更适合作一名演员，并且受到一些电视剧的激励，诸如Boys From the Blackstuff，以表演作为自己的职业。Eccleston在Central School of Speech and Drama（演讲戏剧中心学校？）接受训练。作为一名演员，早期，他在周六晚上和周日早上的Ken Loach的 Kes和Albert Finney的节目中有所演出，很快他转入古典剧目，在Shakespeare,Chekhov, 和 Molière.25岁的时候，Eccleston迎来了它职业生涯的首次登台表演，在Bristol一部老作品A Streetcar Named Desire中表演。Eccleston在毕业后至成为演员的一段时间内找不到工作，在超市，建筑工地做过多份零工，也做过艺术模特（是不是身材很好~~~~）。
Doctor Who（2005）
2004年3月20日，宣布Eccleston将在
BBC传奇科幻电视剧Doctor Who复苏剧集中出演第九任the Doctor，并将在2005年3月播出。该剧制作执导兼编剧Russel T. Davies说，Eccleston是该角色的首选。尽管，英国小报曾报道Bill Nighy获得了该角色但是被否认。（在2005年纪录片Doctor Who幕后花絮中，Davies说，他从不认为Chris会感兴趣）
Eccleston是9年以来（1996Paul McGann）第一位电视上扮演the Doctor的演员，是第一位16年来（1989年的Sylvester McCoy）在系列剧中出演the Doctor的演员。同时也是第一位真正出生在电视剧诞生之后的扮演the Doctor的演员，他出生在著名的第一个Dalek故事在英国播出后两周。
新一系列的Doctor Who在2005年3月26日开播。该片第一集和其特效被广为赞誉。给与很高的评价后，BBC立刻宣布，Doctor Who将进一步制作两系列和两个圣诞版。但是2005年3月30日，BBC有消息声称，貌似从Eccleston传出，Eccleston由于怕被角色定位，决定在第一系列结束后不再饰演该角色。4月4日，BBC表示，Eccleston在未被允许的情况下的这番声明是错误的。BBC承认，他们破坏了一月份关于不向公众泄漏他只担任一季角色的合约。在

发布了正式声明。Eccleston近三个月的任期，使他成为或最短或第二短时期的Doctor，这取决于如何计算Paul McGann扮演的第八任Doctor的任期。（McGann尽出现过一次，但是由于在之后的很长时期没有Doctor Who系列制作出来，所以对于9年后被替代也无从说起。Eccleston在13集中扮演该角色，并且在最后完结时爆炸，之后由David Tennant接任。）
2005年6月11日，在BBC广播采访节目中，当被问到他是否很享受在Doctor Who的工作呢？Eccleston回答：“很复杂，这是个很长的故事。”Eccleston离开这一角色的原因，继续被英国报纸谈论，在2005年10月4日，Alan Davies告诉The Daily Telegraph，“Eccleston曾被BBC要求过度工作，他之所以离开时因为疲惫不堪。”10天后，Eccleston对明镜日报（The Daily Mirror）否认这一说法，并对Davies对他的这番说法表示愤怒。
尽管这段任期短且风波不断，但是Eccleston的表现仍然对Doctor Who产生了持久的影响。在2005年National Television Awards中凭借the Doctor的出色表现，获得最受欢迎演员称号。

除了Manchester当地口音，他还能讲Birmingham(城市名,有二,其一在美国阿拉巴马州中北部,另一在英格兰中部), Dorset(多西特,即Sackville, Thomas), Suffolk, French, Indian, New York, Southern Welsh, Scottish and Polish accents.
