3.31将开播的Doctor Who第三季, 在第3季第11集中Captain Jack Harkness将再次亮相。
在Torchwood第一季结尾时不知何故不死的Captain Jack 消失了，而 TARDIS 的鸣声在背景中淡出。。。
现在我们将知道会发生什么了...
在Doctor Who的这一集中，博士和新女伴Martha将TARDIS 降落在卡迪夫的时空裂缝，火炬木小组的总部，为的是补充能量。
而在博士和Martha在对卡迪夫开玩笑时，Captain Jack 则跟在博士后面追着喊着结果只是在Tardis消失时刚刚能抓到Tardis的门锁，这会是一个令人印象深刻的时刻。
然后Captain Jack 就挂在TARDIS的外面 享受着他结果未定的时空旅行的快乐，就像Marty McFly在<回到未来>电影中搭在汽车保险杠上一样。。。
这集中博士和他的朋友们将去到100万亿年，博士自己都说那不可能。

Sci-Fi Pulse's source, "Dr. Phibes", has come up with some rather juicy spoilers regarding the eleventh episode of the soon to start third season. It regards the guest appearance of
Captain Jack Harkness, played by
John Barrowman, the principal character of the darker
"Doctor Who" spin-off,
"Torchwood".
At the end of the first season of
"Torchwood", the somehow immortal
Captain Jack disappeared, the unmistakable sound of the TARDIS fading in the background. Now we get to know what happened.
The Doctor and Martha land the TARDIS on the spatial rift in Cardiff, home of the Torchwood HQ, to recharge.
While the Doctor and Martha are enjoying a quick banter about Cardiff we will see Captain Jack running and shouting after the Doctor only to barely latch onto the Tardis as it dematerialises, this one moment promises to be a rather impressive CGI shot [...]
Captain Jack is then subjected to the dubious pleasure of traveling through time, hanging on to the outside of the TARDIS, which must be a bit like
Marty McFly in
"Back to the Future" hanging on to the bumper of a car, if the car had been a formula 1 racer with a bolted on JATO rocket.
"The episode sees The Doctor and his friends going to the year 100 trillion, which The Doctor says is impossible," according to
Phibes.
Dr. Phibes also revealed that the episode gives some clues as to how exactly Captain Jack found his way back to Earth.
