《Red Ocean》革命性地将射击游戏元素与水下动作元素相结合，使玩家感受一个真实的水下水上环境。玩家扮演的是一名潜水教练兼寻宝者杰克·哈德(Jack Hard)，在一次偶然的潜水中玩家发现了一个恐怖组织建立的水下研究室，并得知了他们的邪恶企图。接下来的故事当然是围绕着杰克的拯救行动。
